“Giving birth should be your greatest achievement not your greatest fear.” ~ Jane Weideman

Hi, Kathy here! A very warm welcome to you.

Below you will find out a little more about me & my business 'Bump Baby and Me' !

I am the proud mum to my little girl Ayla, wife to my husband Steve and along with running pre/postnatal classes & workshops, I am the resident Pregnancy, Baby & Parenting blogger for Xposé.ie. If you fancy a read, you can follow my blogs through their website  www.tv3.ie , on their Facebook page or through my Facebook page.

I am a qualified pregnancy & postnatal yoga teacher through The Elbow Room in Dublin and I teach 'Positive Birth Pregnancy yoga' and 'Mum & Baby Postnatal Yoga' to mums & mums-to-be.  I have a huge interest in fitness and wellbeing and when I'm not teaching classes I train locally in my husbands Strength & Conditioning gym 'Performance Therapy Ireland'.  I love to bring elements from the gym into my yoga classes, so they become more than your normal pre/postnatal yoga class!

I am also a qualified Infant Massage Instructor through Baby Massage Ireland and truly believe in the benefits that baby massage can offer. Learning this special routine gives parents practical & helpful tools to use, not only during their early parenting days, but in the years that follow too.

Looking after your mind as well as your body during & after pregnancy is so important and that is one of the main reasons why I trained as a GentleBirth Instructor. So many couples are benefiting from GentleBirth. It is a unique programme that offers 'Brain Training for Birth'', using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Hypnosis, Sports Psychology and mindfulness with a focus on preparing you for a positive birth experience, no matter what comes your way on the big day!

In order to fully support women and their families, I trained as a Birth & Postpatrum Doula and I am a member of the Doula Association of Ireland. I love working with families, offering them a bespoke service, empowering them to thrive, not just survive, when it comes to their birth and early parenting days.

My work allows me to be surrounded by women experiencing the highs and sometimes lows of pregnancy and motherhood. Being involved with women & their families at this important stage is truly a privilege and I look forward to meeting and hopefully supporting lots of you along this exciting & life-changing journey!

Pregnancy Yoga

I am a qualified Prenatal yoga teacher through The Elbow Room in Dublin (Yoga Alliance registered).

Looking after all aspects of your health at this time of change is so important and my 'Positive Birth' yoga classes offer many physical and emotional benefits.

Combining yoga poses & strenghening exercises with relaxation, mindfulness & breathing techniques, these classes will help develop the skills necessary for you to cope with the demands of labour and motherhood and prepare you for your 'positive birth'!

Mum & Baby Postnatal Yoga

Mum & Baby Postnatal Yoga is a class where you can bond with your baby while exercising safely, strengthening your mind & body after birth.

I have collaborated with numerous womens health physiotherapists and osteopaths to bring new mums a class that focuses on poses to open and stretch the body, exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor & abdominals and also breathing & relaxation techniques to help you feel calm and restored.

Babies will love watching mum exercise along with enjoying the infant engagement parts of the class where we sing nursery rhymes, do some massage and try out some baby yoga of course!
