Baby Massage

Come and learn how to massage your baby in a relaxed and friendly environment. My hope is that you will go away empowered to share this wonderful gift with your baby for years to come.

The classes are completely baby led, so your baby can cry, laugh, sleep or feed during the session! At the end of each class there is time to enjoy some refreshments and chat about different topics that may be of interest to you.

What do classes cost?

Group sessions - The cost for the course is €125 (Up to €100 is reclaimable on many Health Insurance policies - please check your individual plan)

Private sessions- I can provide private sessions with you and your baby in your own home. Each session is €75 and I would recommend two sessions to cover the appropriate strokes.

Colic relief sessions – this routine is discussed with you and demonstrated to help alleviate pain and discomfort for your baby- €75 for 1 session.

At what age can I bring my baby to the class?

Baby massage is suitable for all babies from birth to crawling. However many parents find it better to wait until their baby is between 4 to 6 weeks old and upwards. At that stage they have greater periods of contented wakefulness and are more open to being massaged.

Do I need to bring anything?

Cushions are provided for you to sit on and oils and handouts are all provided. You should bring a mat/blanket for your baby to lie on.

What should my baby wear?

Your baby can wear anything. A simple baby grow may be easier for you to take on and off. It is a good idea to bring your nappy bag and a change of clothes for your baby.

What should I wear to a baby massage class?

Wear something comfortable as we will be sitting on cushions on the floor. At the class you can take off your shoes so you can get really comfortable.

My baby may need to feed /sleep during the class, what will I do?

Don’t worry! That is normal and it always works out just fine !

My baby is very active, I am worried that he will not lie down for long.

Don’t worry your baby can sit up for many of the strokes; often a baby just wants to be able to see where they are and who is there. Also we use songs and nursery rhymes which seem to engage active babies.

Where are classes held?

Classes are held in the Parish Centre @ St. Sylvesters Church, Malahide Village.
